ATUNE Kids – Integrated Paediatric Care: A New Chapter in Whole-Person Health

The story of ATUNE Health Centres begins in 1996, born out of a life-altering experience for our CEO. After a near-death encounter and a journey through the hospital system, he becomes acutely aware of significant gaps in conventional healthcare. This experience sparks a deep conviction: healthcare must change. From that moment, the vision for a one-stop, integrated health centre takes root.

In 2006, that vision becomes reality with the founding of ATUNE Health. Driven by a passion for individualised, holistic care, the model quickly resonates with like-minded professionals eager to work within a truly collaborative environment. The ATUNE team grows rapidly, culminating in the opening of our purpose-built flagship facility in Cardiff in 2020. Since then, ATUNE leads the way in integrated and lifestyle medicine across Australia—transforming the way healthcare is delivered.

While ATUNE initially focuses on adult care, it becomes clear that the same integrated approach is equally essential in paediatric health.

A Shared Vision: The Rainbow Clinic

In 2020, ATUNE's founder, Simon, is approached by several health professionals seeking support in transitioning their practices toward a more integrated model. Among them is The Rainbow Clinic, founded in 2014 by Sarah Poissant, a passionate advocate for children’s health and early intervention.

Over the next four years, Simon works closely with Sarah to strengthen and align the clinic’s vision with ATUNE’s integrated model. When Sarah and her partner, Pat, faced a family crisis in 2023, they took an extended sabbatical overseas. During their absence, Simon steps in and worked closely with Jadie Reid and Madeleine Painter to provide interim leadership, ensuring that the clinic remains true to its mission and continues to serve families with excellence and compassion.

As their time away extends, it becomes clear that Sarah and Pat won’t return in the foreseeable future. Conversations about the clinic’s future naturally unfold. The Rainbow Clinic has always envisioned a closer partnership with ATUNE—and with the continued success of our children’s services, the opportunity for integration becomes both natural and timely. Confident in ATUNE’s ability to honour the clinic’s legacy and build upon it, Sarah and Pat agree to a formal acquisition.

In July 2025, The Rainbow Clinic officially becomes part of the ATUNE Health Centres family, adopting a new name and identity:

ATUNE Kids – Integrated Paediatric Care.

The clinic also relocates to our state-of-the-art facility in Cardiff, a strategic move that offers families access to a broad range of health and wellness services in one convenient location.
